To solve the processing problems of PTFE materials

With the development of high-frequency signal transmission and high-speed digitization, high-frequency and high-speed materials are gradually replacing the traditional FR4 materials for the manufacture of communication boards. In recent years, the processing of PTFE materials become more and more and burr problem of routing has become a difficulty for PCB manufacturers.

Feedback from customer A stated that burr problems generated at forming procedure while processing PTFE mixed boards, which needed to be solved and burr is unusual as following:

Processing condition: Φ1.20 for rough routing & Φ1.00 for fine finishing

Analysis of burr generation：

It is because PTFE is not easy to cut off and there is no green oil covering in the processing area, so its height is slightly lower than the surface, the plate surface is not smooth, the entry board cannot suppress burr on the surface, so burr easily generates during processing.

Jinzhou Solution

Tools: Apply the special routers of Jinzhou to promote cutting performance and reduce cutting resistance and friction heat.

Processing technology: Apply blue tape to suppress the burr that generates upward.
